How long does the photo shoot take?
We like to spend some time with your pet before we start shooting, that will help your pet feel more comfortable. The actual photo shoot shouldn’t take more than an hour depending on your pet’s personality and temper. I would separate about two hours for the event, just to be safe and relaxed.
What should I expect from the photo shoot?
We will arrive at your home or location of choice with all the equipment necessary for the shoot. We shoot your pet at the places where they normally hang out at eye level so your pet wont feel threatened or uncomfortable. The pictures are created by careful consideration of composition, lighting and style, but without compromising your pet’s personality. The portraits are meant to look genuine, not forced or artificial.
How do I book a session?
Just contact us and let us know when is a good date for you. We prefer to use natural lighting therefore shoots are best scheduled during the late morning or early afternoon. We work weekdays and weekends and have a very flexible schedule.
How long before I get my pictures?
About 2 days after the photo shoot you will be able to see your pictures on our site using a personal link we will provide for you. You will have two weeks to select the images you like and place your order. After your payment goes through it takes about a week and a half for you to receive your prints. Your order can be rushed for and additional fee.
How do I prepare for the shoot?
It is a good idea to walk and play with your pet right before the shoot it helps them get rid of some energy that way they are easier to work with and are not too hyper. Some people like to groom their pets, that is nice but not necessary. You can also spend time with your pet in the places where you would like their picture taken, for example if you want them seating in a specific chair, practice with them so they are ok doing it the day of the shoot. We encourage you to be involved in the process; it makes it easier on your pet and its fun!
When and how do I make payments?
There is no deposit fee when making an appointment but payment for the session is due in full by the day of the shoot. Once you place your order you will receive an invoice and prints are done after payment is received. We accept pay pal, checks and cash.
